Chemical Name: MUPIROCIN (myoo-PEER-oh-sin) Common uses This medicine is an antibacterial used to treat skin infections. Before using INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. Directions Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Wash and completely dry the affected area. Gently rub the medicine in until it is evenly distributed. The affected area may be covered with gauze or a bandage. WASH YOUR HANDS with soap and water after applying this medicine, unless your hands are part of the treated area. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, use it as soon as possible.
